Subtle finishes, flexible slab formats and calm interior use.
Cloudy Texture Finishes, Sizes & Uses
Elegant cloudy mineral texture is normally supplied polished or honed, with satin and lightly brushed treatments available for wall panels, furniture and selected flooring. Polished slabs work well for vanity tops, reception surfaces, fireplace surrounds and decorative wall cladding, while honing is often preferred for floors, stairs and bathrooms because it reduces glare and creates a quieter architectural finish. Full slabs commonly range from approximately 2,400–3,200 × 1,300–1,900 mm, with usable dimensions dependent on block yield, trimming and reinforcement. Standard thicknesses are generally 20 mm and 30 mm; 20 mm is suitable for supported walls, vanity tops and furniture, while 30 mm offers greater rigidity for kitchen counters, stair treads, shelves and deeper edge treatments. Borghetto Marble Stone can be used in hotel lobbies, spa bathrooms, fireplace compositions, kitchen islands, reception counters, dining tables and expansive residential floors. Pieces should be selected from the same production lot and dry-laid before fabrication because commercial batches may differ in background warmth and movement scale. Wet installations require waterproofing, full adhesive contact and functional movement joints. White or light stone adhesive should be tested before use, while countertops should receive a suitable penetrating sealer and be maintained with pH-neutral products. Slip resistance must be verified where honed or textured material is intended for wet walking areas.
