Expressive finishes, adaptable slab formats and statement interiors.
Decorative Stone Finishes, Sizes & Uses
Bold decorative feature stone is commonly available polished and honed, with satin, brushed and leathered finishes possible for customised interiors. Polishing is suitable for reception desks, fireplace walls, bar fronts, vanity tops and sculptural furniture, while honing or leathering can create a more subdued surface for flooring, staircases and hospitality spaces. Slabs typically fall within approximately 2,400–3,100 × 1,300–1,850 mm, although natural fissures, resin reinforcement and trimming may reduce the fabrication area. Standard thicknesses are usually 20 mm and 30 mm; 20 mm is appropriate for supported wall panels and furniture, while 30 mm provides improved rigidity for islands, counters, treads and exposed edge details. Bolero Marble Stone is best used where each slab can function as an intentional composition, including hotel lobbies, reception counters, fireplace surrounds, feature walls, dining tables and statement bathroom vanities. Full slabs should be dry-laid and photographed before cutting so the most active areas can be positioned away from sinks, sockets or narrow structural sections. Large wall panels may require concealed mechanical support. Kitchen or vanity use requires a tested penetrating sealer and careful maintenance because acidic products can etch the surface. For flooring, a honed or textured finish should be slip-tested, and additional pieces from the same block should be retained for future replacement.
